Hoopla Digital introduced two new features in June, BingePasses and SeasonPasses. Like most other library-curated streaming services, Hoopla is free, with a limitation on how many films or TV episodes can be viewed per month. While this ‘borrowing’ system works well when watching movies, those wanting to watch episodes of a 30-minute sitcom might find their monthly credits dwindling quickly.
The BingePass and SeasonPass features aimed to remove this limitation, with a selection of TV seasons and groups of content available to watch for seven days for the cost of a single borrow point. The collections are sorted into a new, easily found options, particularly when viewed via Smart TV apps.
Since the update to include the new functions, the service was removed from Samsung TVs. As of this week, Hoopla have announced that the app is now available again and can be installed on Samsung TVs, with access to the new features and the original collection available again.
