Despite being free for its users, Tubi has grown its revenue year-on-year more than its paid contemporaries like Netflix. Launched in 2014, the service became available to Australian viewers in 2019. With over 100,000 viewers each month, Tubi has been able to build strong relationships with distributors, boasting content from major studios like Disney, Warner Brothers, and Sony.

The service is supported by advertising, and viewers can expected to see four blocks of ads of around two to three minutes over the course of a feature film. It’s a small price to pay for Tubi’s vast and varied collection. Tubi has wide compatibility with devices, and features intuitive navigation and search options. Finding new shows and movies is made even more simple with curated collections, and ‘Networks,’ subsections devoted to the collections of Tubi’s partner distributors and studios, like Hallmark, Full Moon Features, and Shout Factory.

In 2021, Tubi released their first batch of original programming, and they now produce a healthy output of original television and movies each year.
