OTT Studio works with smart TV brands to license content for their FAST (Free Ad-Supported Streaming Television) channels, so it makes sense that the content library of their own streaming service would be significant. Their own streaming service, Free Movies+ includes an impressive collection of movies from big-name and independent studios, and equally extensive library of TV series. Similarly, the studio’s experience shows in the clean, easy to navigate and search interface of their apps and website.

Unfortunately, unlike some of the partners they have worked with, like Tubi or Plex, Free Movies+ doesn’t have the right implementation of advertising. Rather than blocks of ads being spaced at logical breaks during the action in the programming, they seem set at regular intervals, disrupting the experience. While the ad breaks are brief – usually 30 to 45 seconds – they are frequent, coming every 10 minutes or so. Strangely, the collection of movies seems to differ between devices – a film available on the website may not be available via the Android app.
